God’s name describes His character. We know God by His name, for it describes Him. This is extremely important. His name does not denote some passing action past or future. God does nothing incidental, and nothing out of character. His name is not about what He may do, but what He is, and what He does, comes only from what He is, His name, for example, the God of healing is a permanent truth, His character eternally.
